Simon Stamp and Show 'Anything but a Card' & Grungy Mondays #2

I worked a two fer with this tag, Simon Stamp and Show and the Grungy Monday #2 challenge. This week we use the multi medium to stamp and image, it acts as a resist. I whipped out my new Tim Holtz Haberdashery stamp and goo-ed it up with multi medium and stamped, dried it and inked around it with walnut and aged mahogany distress inks. I really like this technique, it makes a great effect with the bright background showing through the stamped area. Dash on over to Simon Stamp and Show, Linda's Studio L3 and All Things Tim and get involved, you'll just love it.

  3. I love your tag! Tha background paper comes through the resist so perfectly! And--how very brave to use a new stamp with the multi-medium! I figured Tim used the foam because it wouldn't come off--hmm, this could expand my otions as I only have a few dies!

  7. I agree - it works really well on this patterned paper - I can see a whole new lease of life for some of my old neglected scrapbooking papers! I wondered whether it would come off rubber stamps but think I might go and have a try now - you've inspired me!
