CCC#29 Weathered Wood Grunge

Who new what grunge could do. I was surprised at every step as I worked though this weeks Studio L3 Compendium challenge. Using a technique from the 12 tags of Christmas, I had fun with the texture fades pre-inking the folder and getting it just right. My red birds cage is gold and he is outside of it so that he can soar! I's rather late in the week for me to get this done. I like to get it done earlier so that I can enjoy the comments throughout the week. Oh well maybe there will still be a few.

CCC#28 Colorful Layered Fragments

28 get out! Go check out the first 27 at Studio L3 and All Things Tim. So, for the colorful layered fragments I tried a Warhol-ish style on several fragments stamped with a Paula Best Statue of Liberty. It maybe a bit more 'ish' than not, but it grows on you after a couple of minutes.... if no, then try to squint a little. I used Tim's City Central stamps as accents and of course some bedazzling never hurts!

Simon Says Stamp and CCC#27 Distress Misting Masks

Misting masks is not something I've done much of before. And there are two masking challenges, Simon Says Stamp and Studio L3Week 27 for the Compendium of Curiosities challenge. I used victorian velvet and walnut with a Tattered Angel's corner and key masks. It was a quick process and the masking actually looks better in the picture than up close. It's rare the tag photographs better than the original. Anyway, I like the stamp because it reminds me of people from an era gone by and I always wonder what their story was. Have fun masking!

CCC#26 Rusted Grunge

Rusted grunge, week 26 at Studio L3, Compendium challenge. Too bad Christmas is over, but a small part of me is happy to be back in the routine, I really enjoy this weekly challenge. I rusted a heart charm, inspired by Linda's tag. On the tag, (cut using T!m's tag die and some folders I dug out of the trash at work), I used victorian velvet, worn lipstick, fired brick and aged mahogany. All of the stamps are from T!m's collection.

abc's of Christmas for Stamp Man challenge

The Stamp Man has a fun blog hop, challenge and award event go check out everyone's favorite 2010 projects and submit your favorite 2010 project. Well this is mine. It's a board book that I altered into a Christmas abc's book. I was surprised, but believe it or not it's hard to pick one. Even thought I'm my own worst critic, looking back I enjoy many of my projects and the pleasure that each brought while creating them and now reviewing them. Here's wishing more fun and inspiration in 2011! Happy new year!
