12 tags of Christmas - 4

The flurry of snow and the well dressed snowman. I like the date cutout back filled to look like stained glass, what next? Check it all out at Holtz's blog!

12 tags of Christmas - 3

12 tags day 3. Again without most of Tim's supplies I have posted my own version of his. I know that is somewhat the ideas, but I do like to make them as similar as possible. This time I embossed and then added colors to the raised words. More fun to come and see others at Tim's Blog.

12 tags of Christmas - 2

Tag 2 resist paper, this paper is fun. Even though I didn't have the seasonal version I sorta attempted to sketch in the holly leaves and berries. I gave the reindeer some bells and a touch of antique with walnut ink. See Tim's at his blog along with hundreds of other beauties.

12 tags of Christmas - 1

Oh yeah! It's that time of year again. This challenge has become part of my Christmas tradition and I look forward to it and thoroughly enjoy it.  I didn't have most of Tim Holtz's items he used on this but I was able to wing it with what I had and had a lot of fun putting it together. See Tim's original and Linda's originals on their blogs here.

Grungy Monday #28 Embossed Metal - This one's "sharp"

Grungy Monday, I've missed you. I have been running around the country and bogged down in work. So, I'm back and I participate this week in the embossed metal challenge.  I don't have a pumpkin in site, but I do have plenty of fall colors. I've embossed a plum metal with the pattern texture fade and after scrapping the finish off of the raised edges I over-colored with spiced marmalade.  I used Tim's dress form die cut, adding a skirt of daisy petals.  Check out the challenge at Linda's Studio L3, All Things Tim, and Tim's Blog for directions and inspiration.

Grungy Monday #20, 19 & 18 All caught up!

Hey Grungy Mondays I'm back. I missed three weeks so I'm working on catching up, two tonight and one more tomorrow. For week 20 we are challenged with Fragments. I worked a travel and explore theme, one of my many favorite things.
My catch up for week 19
and distress stickles took inspiration from Graphics 45 paper and the fairies of springtime, for me fairies just need some stickles on them.

Grungy Monday #17 Rock Candy

Happy to be back, although vacation is nice too. Even though it's late in the week I wanted to get into there because I had seen so many beautiful examples from everyone! We were challenged to use Tim Holtz's rock candy crackle and stickles and add it to the collection at Linda's StudioL3, and All Things Tim sites. As you can see I used many colors of DI over Tim's resist paper. Then I stamped the bird and the words on top of the whole thing. I added a dash of prisma glitter, which doesn't show in the picture, but it adds some sparkle. Enjoy it and thanks for stopping by.
