Why resist? CCC2

Week 19 of Tim Holtz's CCC2 over at Linda's Studio L3, I couldn't resist.  So here's my tag incorporating one of my favorite things, travel! I used Tim's summer distress inks, they came out much darker on the resist craft paper, but son't show up so much in the photo.  I also used the filmstrip ribbon, adage ticket and plane stamp.  I plan to catch up on some of the previous challenges that I've missed, so check back and let me know what you think.

Core-dinations Compendium of Curiosities 2 Challenge 17

Sponsored by Simon Says Stamp, Week 17 wow! You'd think I could spell curiosities without spell checker by now! This week I combined the enameled tag that I didn't get finished last week and the coredinations paper. I love this paper, it's has so much potential and is so fun. I used Tim's texture fades, flourish and polka dots, on both the metal tag, aqua dabber, and the dress form, with one of my favorite color combos, blue and brown. Check out the other beauties over at Linda's Studio L3... Enjoy.

Compendium of Curiosities 2 Configurations

Compendium of Curiosities configurations challenge, that's a tongue twister! Thanks to Linda's hint that this was coming, I started working on the base that week. I'm so glad because I will be out of town and would not have been able to participate and have such a blast doing this. I've had the configurable for a while and was planning on doing some holiday scene's but never got to it. So for this my general theme was travel. I added the pocket watch from the challenge a few weeks ago, because I wanted to give it a special place anyway and this seemed to work.  I have at least a zillion ideology trinkets and some other prized pieces I'd been saving for the right project all glued in every which way.
Click over to Linda's Studio L3, so glad she's hosting another great challenge. And check out Tim's second book for the instructions, I also watched his video on his blog, on making one of these super fun projects. Enjoy and have a beautiful holiday!

Tissue wrap flowers

Tissue wrap flowers: I busted out one measly little guy, atop my top hat. If you squint it looks more like a flower. I used a tag that didn't make the cut, from the tissue wrap challenge. Actually it was fun simple and a snazzy technique that I will keep in mind. I think Tim should come out with some scent sprays we can spray on these guys.  You laugh, but you know that us fans would buy it! This Holtzian CC2 week 10 challenge at Linda's Studio L3 is sponsored by Funkie Junkie.

Just Watch Me - Compendium of Curiosities 2 #9

This week Simon Says Stamp sponsors, Linda's Studio L3, Tim Holtz CC2 challenge number 9. There are a plethora of beautiful watches on the site. I thought this was a lot of fun. I wish I had several of these to make, because I actually had to choose from a couple ideas that I really liked, that seldom happens. Now my mind is full of ideas for the watch since I was surprised at how much one can actually cram in that little space.

Compendium of Curiosities 2 - Repurposed Packaging

Fun stuff! Linda at Studio L3 challenged us to a project with Tim's re-purposed packaging.  I do this frequently using my cool junk mail was card bases.  I Tim's used masking tape, some red paint, bird die cut, flourish texture fades and some snazzy embellishments. Have fun!

LifeBook 2012 May Calendar

May day calendar exercise from LifeBook, was fun. It was refreshing to not have trauma over not being able to draw a face as well as most.  And it was really fun to map my feelings out, concisely, in each days small box and then review it at the end, memories!
