Week 11 whimsy?
Week 11 of Donna Downey's 48 weeks, we used textured wallpaper and painted a whimsical vase of finger painted flowers, it was interesting, but I'm probably not going to make whimsy my thing.

Week 10 She was like the moon, part of her was always hidden.
Week 10 of my 48 week class with Donna Downey. Every week is a new challenge. This week it was collage, texturing and grunge, including drippage. I had to psych up for the dripping, but once I let go and went for it I got the hang of it. Not sure I want to drip or splatter all of my stuff, but I do like the collage and texture elements.

Week 9 of 48 Mosaic
Week 9 included a random mosaic, which I was surprised to find I had problems with, being random was areal challenge. I could not follow a pattern! The next step was to sketch the flowers and the instructors was a whimsical one like Seymor in Little shop of horrors, I just couldn't get into it, so I came up with these. Next we were supposed to glaze in color over the mosaic to fill in the flowers and around the outside of them with the white. The whole thing was foreign and a struggle, but ultimately it was a fun challenge.
