IW week 6

Be you is another inspiration Wednesday journal page with the theme of working on me. Instead of dripping I opted for a fan brush background in three shades or teal which I thought would be striking against the yellow bird. The text was supposed to be metallic from adhesive Rub ons which didn't work for me, so I had to paint my handwriting. I actually like the end product which I think came out nicer than it photos. Anyway, I'm off to be me, have fun!

What is your bravest day? Wanderlust journal page

This challenge was to represent your bravest thing.  Mine is loving and letting go of those we love. I am surprised by the bright colors, but I think they are the feelings of love that you are left with when you lose someone, and the butterflies is the freedom after letting go.

Paint something in colors that aren't normal Wanderlust.

The assignment was to paint something using unlikely colors on everyday things. This was a hot air balloon I saw one day on a neon landscape. Its kind crazy and really bright.

What do you really want? - wanderlust journal activity

This activities assignment was to answer what you really want. I want what most people want, peace, health and happiness. This is a pretty peaceful page for me, mellow colors and a lot of open space. It was even cathartic to create it.

One word that describes you - wanderlust journal activities

Use One word that describes you; for me at this point in life I'd say that word is challenged. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it is a  struggle right now. Maybe the chaos in this page is obvious and maybe the hope is too.

This is me - Wanderlust journal week 11

This week we were challenged to create an image of me. Since I struggle with faces I was immediately intimidated. However, the lesson used a transfer image, which was covered up by sketching it and using paint and gesso, which made it all less daunting.  So, this is me using  as best as possible with a paint brush, ha. The second side of the two page spread was a collage with words about me. I stuck close to the lesson example, and was happy with the result, more or less.

IW journal page - Very Pinky!

Pink grunge is the title of this IW journal page. There are layers of lime green, yellow, and teal, but all you can see is the pink over wash. It was an interesting evolution and this is not at all what I expected when I started the project, but I just kept going until I decided it was done. So that's my take away, keep moving forward.
